I want to create a new way of expressing myself on the blog. Perhaps something more personal, more down-to-earth. It's probably also a way for me to share with you a daily life that you don't have access to. To tell the truth, I decided one day to call this site by my name, not because I wanted to put it forward, but rather because I wanted to convey my personal vision, my opinion and my values. That's why, in this Luthier's Diary, I'll try to tell you about the evolution of my workshop, my career, my choices and my moods.

Le journal du luthier
Le journal du luthier, a compendium of daily life made up of everything and nothing

What will the luthier's journal be about?

Obviously, this is not going to be a diary in which I express myself on every current topic. Instead, I'd like to tackle subjects that concern us all, whether we're musicians or not, craftsmen or simply human beings who come together around a common passion: music.

In fact, I'd also like to find subjects that would get you thinking, reacting and debating together. What do you think? What do you think would be the best way for me to get you involved in these topics? In any case, I'd also like to find a way for you to express yourselves. I get a lot from you, often by e-mail or telephone, but we don't often get the chance to share it all together. In any case, I invite you to react to this in the comments on this page.

In any case, I've already got a few topics in mind for you, and I can't wait!

An exercise above all

Although I still want to give you something through the lines I write. For me, it's also about training. As you may have noticed recently, there's been a lot less activity online. First of all, it's true that I've had a lot of "physical" activity between my various current projects, but also and above all, I've had a lot of trouble getting used to(as many people do) the new WordPress layout interface called Gutemberg.

Frankly, I know I'm getting to an age where it's increasingly difficult to rely on one's ability to learn... But I'll use the excuse that the first versions were simply atrociously buggy. In particular, the one that prevented me from saving my content and, worse still, automatically blocked the page during an automatic save.

In short, enough to discourage even the most assiduous of writers... However, now that it seems to be back to normal, it's time for me to get back to the keyboard. So I can once again indulge in that delicious rhythm of typing punctuated by space bars.

    1. Hello, in fact what I call a journal has nothing to do with a recurring publication. It's simply a category of articles that I try to spin in a more personal way. I have to admit, though, that I've had very little time to write new articles lately! But there's still a lot in the pipeline. Anyway, thanks for your encouragement and see you soon,
