Description

I have selected for you a set of tools that will enable you to start your exploration of lutherie serenely and independently. In fact, these represent only a tiny portion of all the tools needed to practice this craft. They do, however, represent all the "intimate" tools you absolutely must have if you want to embark on this adventure. These apprentice luthiers' tools are of the same quality as the tools I use every day.

Tools for the apprentice luthier

Based on my experience of training courses and my knowledge of school curricula, I have put together a coherent and simple set of tools for those wishing to practice violin making.

The first thing I noticed was how difficult it is to build up a toolbox when you're just starting out. In fact, over the years, I've come across many trainees, apprentices and students with tools that were unusable, useless or redundant. In fact, I have to admit that this has happened to me many times in my career.

That's why this set includes all the basic tools that will enable anyone to express themselves in this art. Each element is of exceptional, uncompromising quality, and professionals the world over use them daily(myself included).

Finally, you won't find all the tools here, but those that are the most difficult to obtain. Indeed, they are very specific and won't be found in any of the local tool stores.
