A violin and bow making workshop

We are first and foremost a general workshop, specializing in instruments from the string quartet family. This means we can meet most of your needs for these instruments with an advanced degree of expertise.

Our speciality is above all sound and playability, with the mission of giving musicians the keys to achieving their most ambitious musical goals. These take several forms:

• First of all, theinstrument itself, with its many specific features, must be chosen and maintained with care to deliver the best performance.
• Then there's thebow, which is by no means in the background, but of equal importance with the instrument in the creation of sound and the development of technique.
• Finally, there's theeducation of the musician, who, thanks to our contribution, will be able to overcome technical obstacles and avoid certain pitfalls that instrumental teaching never mentions.

The design and creation of violins, violas and cellos is at the heart of the luthier's craft. That's why I offer to make a custom instrument for you.

Vintage and high-end violin rentals

At the workshop, we now specialize exclusively in the rental of top-of-the-range instruments for the most demanding musicians.

Repair & restoration

Repair and restoration are fundamentally two different activities. Both address specific needs, and either approach can be considered when presented with a damaged instrument.

That's why we draw up detailed estimates and condition reports prior to each job, so that together we can choose the best direction for your instrument and optimize the results to suit your budget.

Maintenance and adjustment of your instrument

To get the most out of your instrument, regular maintenance and adjustments are essential. Buying the best instrument isn't enough, and you'll need to work on the sound throughout your musical collaboration. That's why I offer all the services you need to get the most out of your instruments over the long term.

Bow maintenance and rehairing

The bow, like the instrument itself, needs regular maintenance to keep it working at its best, while preserving its value and function. That's why I offer to rehair and maintain your sticks, fittings, frogs and mechanisms, and use my experience to help you get the most out of your bows.
