Bow rehairing and repair
A rehairing is an operation that consists in replacing the worn-out horsehair strand of a bow. This delicate operation must be carried out by a qualified craftsman, depending on the musician's playing frequency. To find out more, read this article: When should a bow be rehaired?
Le crin utilisé à l’atelier provient des robustes étalons de Mongolie, rigoureusement sélectionné et non-traité, un matériau naturel de haute-qualité. Pour information, j’utilise uniquement le crin Pioneer Valley.
Pour le reméchage en crin synthétique, j’utilise celui proposé par Coruss.

Repair and restoration
I carry out basic repairs and restorations on both antique and modern bows. For more extensive work, you'll need to consult a bow maker whose trade is devoted exclusively to the manufacture, maintenance and repair/restoration of bows.
